Rudy Ricciotti has been commissioned as architect for the International School in Manosque, working in partnership with architect Jean-Michel Battesti and the building company Léon Grosse. The total cost of this project is estimated at ¤ 55M, including ¤ 37.5 M for the construction work. A community of children from 31 different nationalities will be formed, working together side-by-side in a single school for 3-18 year olds. The teaching programme will be based on the French state curriculum, but tailored to be compatible with the education systems in the other partner countries. Half the lessons will be taught in French and the other half in a foreign language chosen by the pupils. European languages such as English, German, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese will be offered alongside languages from further afield such as Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Russian and Hindi.
