3 other labs for nuclear research :

> France Japan magnetic fusion laboratory (Marseille): was created in 2008 by the University of Provence (Aix-Marseille), the CNRS (National Scientific Research Center) and the universities of Kyushu and Osaka in Japan. This research and training center works on the modeling and simulating of turbulent plasma transport for ITER.

> Institut de radioprotection et de sûreté nucléaire : This institute for radioprotection and nuclear safety situated at Saint-Paul-Lez-Durance (Bouches-du-Rhône) and La Seyne-sur-Mer (Var), is a public establishment working under the joint authority of the French Ministries of Ecology, Health, Industry, Research and Defense. Its mission is to study and analyze risks related to radioactivity.

> Laboratoire Physique des Interactions Ioniques et Moléculaires (PIIM): The Physics Lab for Ionic and Molecular Interactions is located in Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône). Its work focuses on 7 themes: ion confinement and laser manipulations, gas and plasma diagnostics, the dynamics of complex systems, plasma surface, spectrometry and molecular dynamics, plasma-turbulence and the experimental physics of magnetized plasma.
